Job Overview & Responsibilities

Position Summary

 

Require a full-time Business Analyst (BA) to manage one or more tracks of work for the user acceptance phase of their Salesforce implementation project. The consultant will work alongside the client’s System Integrator that is performing the implementation of the Salesforce project and will have a key role in driving User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Position requires prior knowledge of Salesforce and PeopleSoft.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

 

  • UAT Management: Lead the project through the UAT phase, coordinating multiple testing rounds and managing related documentation, including the creation and review of test cases and user guides.
  • Business Process Coordination: Collaborate with other BAs and testers to ensure effective execution and support of UAT, with a focus on preparing for each round of testing.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with the external vendor resources and ensure deliverables are met according to the project timeline.
  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate requirements sessions as necessary, and review deliverables for accuracy. Ensure traceability of all requirements to other artifacts.
  • System Design: Work with BAs, product team, QA, developers and other system consultants to design and implement the system. Produce design artifacts (mock up, wireframes, user stories).
  • Documentation: Ensure all project-related documentation (test cases, user guides, workflows, functional designs) is current and comprehensive.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Client’s Project Lead, highlighting risks, issues, and progress.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication, project alignment, and timely delivery.

 

 

 

Other Duties

  • The Business Analyst shall perform each of the following tasks and provide to Client for review and approval to achieve the project objectives. Tasks will be expected to be completed at various points in the milestone schedule shown in Section 6.

    1. Creation, review and testing of UAT artifacts, such as test cases, test data, user guides, and testing documentation.
    2. Creation, review, and documentation of product backlog items such as user stories, bugs, project tasks.
    3. Work plans, task breakdowns, and work estimate as required.
    4. Administrative items such as status reports of work, timesheets, meeting notes, required trainings.

 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

 

  • Must have experience implementing a property assessment or property tax system converting from a legacy system to Salesforce within the last year;
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as a software/technology business analyst or product management related role on more than five (5) system implementation or enhancement projects.
  • The proposed resource must have experience and a proven track record with soliciting and documenting business requirements or user stories, writing functional requirements or specs, and business process mapping; 
  • Past working experience in requirements definition, solution design, and software development through general availability following software development lifecycle best practices highly preferred.

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAs)

 

  • Knowledge of SalesForce and PeopleSoft system
  • Prior work in state and local customers
  • Strong Business Analyst and Project Management skills
