Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Lead Certinia PSA Administrator is responsible for managing and enhancing our global deployment of Certinia PSA (formerly FinancialForce PSA) on Salesforce. Supporting a global user base, you will administer and configure Certinia PSA on Salesforce and manage the functionality for project creation, resource allocation, time tracking, expense management, billing events, and revenue management. The Lead Certinia PSA Administrator provides system training and collaborates with global stakeholders including Finance, Sales, PMO, IT, and others to ensure the system meets cross-functional needs. This role works under general supervision, with latitude to determine and develop approaches and solutions to complex problems.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Administer and configure Certinia PSA on Salesforce, including objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, flows, standard/advanced approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Manage PSA functionality for project creation, resource allocation, time tracking, expense management, billing events, and revenue management.
  • Support and train PMO staff in leveraging native PSA project management capabilities, including any reasonable, approved enhancements.
  • Support global user base, particularly in India, ensuring alignment with regional business requirements, time zones, and compliance needs.
  • Maintain and improve multi-currency and multi-region processes within PSA.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards for professional services leadership across multiple geographies.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including Finance, Sales, PMO, IT, and others to ensure the system meets cross-functional needs.
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing user support across multiple regions.
  • Work with Certinia Support and internal IT for system upgrades, release testing, and feature enhancements.
  • Maintain data quality and compliance with internal audit and global data governance policies.
  • Maintain records/version control of configurations and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in developing system policies and strategies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years’ administering Certinia PSA.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Certinia Billing Central and/or Certinia Revenue Management.
  • Work experience supporting a global user base, including operations in India.
  • Experience working in consulting, IT services, or finance organizations with distributed teams.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator) preferred.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of PSA modules: Project Management, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing Events.
  • Experience with custom objects, reports, dashboards, automation, and data tools (Data Loader, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across regions.
  • Familiarity with multi-currency, multi-entity, and multi-book setups in Salesforce.
  • Understanding of Salesforce Flow, Apex, or Visualforce (basic familiarity is a plus).
  • Exposure to Agile, ITIL or similar frameworks for project and service management.
  • Experience in managing JIRA for service ticket and enhancement backlog requests
  • Strong understanding of PSA processes, advanced automations/flows, reporting, and the ability to support additional Certinia products such as Billing Central and Revenue.
