We're seeking a talented Federal Solutions Architect to join our Presales Solutions team, focusing on DoD and Civilian Federal Sector customers. As a key member of our team, you'll lead the charge in designing and implementing cutting-edge Oracle solutions, both on-premise and cloud-based. Your primary responsibility will be guiding customers through the entire solution lifecycle, from pre-sales to implementation and beyond. You'll architect solutions using Oracle's comprehensive suite of products, including Cloud PaaS, IaaS, and on-premises software, collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique needs and create tailored success roadmaps.

 

In this role, you'll provide expert advice on public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployment models, working independently to deliver complex technical solutions under general supervision. We're looking for a proactive problem-solver who can translate business needs into innovative Oracle-based solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in pre-sales support, solution architecture, blueprinting, and implementation planning, as well as post-sales advisory support, driving renewals, expansions, and uptake of additional services. Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Provide support to Federal customers, helping with best practices and implementation planning.
  • Develop cloud and on-premise implementation strategies for customer projects.
  • Create and maintain a library of best practices documents which can be utilized with customers and prospects; build cloud technical and network diagrams as required.
  • Work with clients to find new opportunities and track their progress.
  • Build relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor.
  • Help customers with Oracle technology challenges.
  • Work with teams on potential implementations and project understanding.
  • Explain Oracle services' features and functions to customers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Teams on solution drafts and designs.
  • Help develop product and consulting offerings.
  • Understand and advise customers on compliance regulations like FedRAMP, HIPAA, CJIS, etc.
  • Help sales teams with Request for Proposals.
  • Build relationships with sales representatives and share technical information with customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in large scale environments supporting production workloads across the technology stack.
  • 8+ years of Oracle experience with the portfolio of Oracle Cloud, Core Tech Software, and Hardware solutions. Primary experience focus areas are:
    • Oracle PaaS and IaaS Cloud solutions;
    • Oracle Engineered Systems solutions;
    • Oracle Core Tech (DB, FMW, Security)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud or other cloud solutions in the Public Sector Market.
  • Experience with Oracle software technologies in the Federal Space.

Other Required Experience and Certifications:

  • Proficiency in blueprinting and design tools like DrawIo and Visio.
  • Proficient in Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
  • Implementation experience with Oracle Engineered Systems such as Exadata.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and tools.
  • Oracle Cloud Architect certification or ability to achieve certification within 60 days of start.
  • Certifications in one or more Oracle technologies (DBA, SOA Suite, OBIEE, etc.)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional correspondence.
  • Knowledge of IT ATO processes such as NIST and FEDRAMP is a plus. 
  • Ability and desire to maintain a high standard of delivery.
  • Attitude of continuous improvement and continual learning to provide our customers, partners, and team innovative solutions.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications in reading, writing, speaking the English language. 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Technical acumen and solutioning skills.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and convey technical concepts in a sales process.
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across the entire technology stack.
