Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) provides support to the sales team and contributes to improvements in efficiency as sales volume increases. The SDR is responsible for being knowledgeable in the aspects of our company’s sales process, proficiently assisting throughout the sales process and maintaining regular contact with the assigned sales team’s management to ensure that the sales representatives have the appropriate support. The SDR position is an entry-level career role that provides the opportunity to learn our company’s sales processes while supporting and assisting our sales team members in completing sales tasks.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Assist Supervisor and Sales Representatives (reports, tasks pertaining to team initiatives).
  • Research the market and generate leads through call blitz’s and promotional campaigns that coincide with company initiatives as needed.
  • Support sales team’s efforts to win business through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses.
  • Respond to RFQ's and assists sales cycle through completion.
  • Provide administrative support to team by entering opportunities, generating reports, and processing deals for tenured reps and on other projects as needed.
  • Maintain updated, organized files on all accounts in assigned territory.
  • Maintain existing customer base information.
  • Assist in sales and marketing projects.
  • Provide information and/or follow up to customer as requested.
  • Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers. 

  

Other Duties

  • Perform all other duties, as assigned. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; some college desired. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience providing administrative support in sales environment or previous customer services experience.
