    Mythics Emergent is seeking an experienced Cloud Transformation & DevOps Lead. The company is currently investing in growing its business in migration of workloads to new infrastructure and clouds which include AWS, OCI Cloud@Customer and Engineered Systems. This position is remote with 25% travel.

     

    The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have strong organization and communication skills, good business sense, experience with infrastructure, database, cloud and software business and development processes and a strong track record in building cloud services. Must also have a startup “go for it” mentality as the position requires a dynamic leader and team builder.

     

    The core responsibilities would include:

    • Supporting customers and pre-sales in deeper dive technical meetings
    • Reviewing, scoping, further defining and estimating level of effort for proposals
    • Leading the lift & shift or move and improve of the workloads to Cloud
    • Engineering and automating the delivery model
    • Leading the Engineering team to include Cloud Transformation and Managed Services

    Then you have an opportunity to join us as a Cloud Transformation and DevOps Delivery Lead to work with highly skilled and engaged teams on Cloud transformation to OCI, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

     

    This role reports directly to the SVP of Cloud Transformation and Life Cycle services.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation and collaboration
    • Drive high customer satisfaction and ensure customers are references
    • Create and manage delivery KPIs that measure and drive excellence
    • Provide delivery leadership and grow leaders within the team 
    • Hire delivery staff and manage individual/team performance 
    • Take on mentoring responsibilities 
    • Establish the vision and strategy for cloud migration, architecture, engineering and services
    • Handle reporting and client escalation management 
    • Manage customers that range from large enterprise class environments to small sized organizations
    • Manage all financial aspects of the delivery, including departmental P&L, forecasting, and expense management 
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure that products and services meet quality and cost standard
    • Serve as a Cloud Transformation evangelist, consult and provide technical guidance on design, governance, performance, scalability, security, operations and cost control best practices
    • Assess the customer cloud maturity, review existing cloud implementations, identify gaps and suggest improvements
    • Enable cloud journey, gather requirements, analyze TCO
    • Create a unified strategy for Cloud transformation governance, automation, security, implementation and operations
    • Manage a team of direct, indirect and partner resources to deliver the Cloud Transformation to the highest standards and quality
    • Design architecture to enable cloud migration programs, analyze existing application and IT services portfolios, develop assets’ migration, transformation and Managed Services automation approach, craft implementation roadmaps
    • Design, prototype and deliver cloud transformation solutions that will scale the business
    • Create thought leadership on Cloud solutions and hybrid clouds

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • Avid technologist, with deep expertise in Cloud including public/private/hybrid cloud architecture domains
    • History of successful implementation of complex cloud transformation solutions
    • Expert knowledge in private, public and hybrid cloud architecture, networking, workload types, migration patterns and tools
    • Hands-on experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines
    • Deep understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with hands-on ability to implement best practices or suggest improvements
    • Ability to suggest competitive and innovative technical decisions, get client buy-in and deliver commitments
    • Strong communication skills, ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Travel 25%
