    Mythics is seeking an Operations Manager to work onsite at the client in New Orleans, LA. The Operations Manager shall possess IT operations management experience with a project similar in size, scope, and complexity to this area. The primary responsibilities of the Operations Manager are to help ensure performance and reliability of the computer environment, coordinate the resolution of operational concerns, and act as a liaison with project’s IT management to facilitate the delivery of information technology services. The Operations Manager shall provide management, direction, administration, quality control, and leadership of the execution of all tasks.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Managing Infrastructure, Application, Middleware, and Support Software operations service delivery that includes server administration (Windows and Linux Operating Systems), network  administration, database administration (Oracle and SQL Server), security administration, and COTS software administration
    • Ensuring compliance with contract Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) and ensuring target metrics, SLAs, and acceptable quality levels (AQL) are met, and taking preemptive corrective actions as necessary to achieve and exceed targets 
    • Providing reports on operational performance. Actively mitigating risk to ensure high performance.
    • Maintaining knowledge of existing technologies as it applies to current and future architecture 
    • Recommending and implementing programs to minimize costs, help ensure optimum output, and maintain quality


    • Must be a US Citizen to obtain Public Trust clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or technical discipline is required, OR 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
    • 12 years of experience in infrastructure and application operations including 3 + years in a management capacity on projects similar in size, scope, and complexity to this contract
    • Technical understanding and 3+ years performing hands-on administration of one or more of the following: Windows, Unix, Oracle Fusion middleware, Oracle databases, WebLogic, networks, VMware or other infrastructure components
    • Hands-on experience delivering operations services supporting Agile Scrum system development methodologies
    • Success in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevSecOps
    • Good understanding of DevOps processes and tools
    • Strong staff management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members to perform at their highest levels supporting the scope of the project
    • ITIL V3 Certification preferred
    • CSM Certification preferred
    • Strong Communication skills and experience working directly with customers and/or internal stakeholders
    • Highly organized and skilled at establishing and enforcing processes
