Job Overview & Responsibilities

Mythics is looking for a Senior Data Programmer who will work onsite in Brooklyn, New York for a public service agency delivering Data Warehouse solutions. As the Senior Data Programmer, you must have Oracle Data Integrator and BI for successful delivery of an enterprise Data Warehouse (DW) solution and its related BI components for a public service agency.   You will be responsible for maintaining the current production application, design and develop new ETL, data mart design in Oracle Database 18c and ODI 12c.

 

Responsibilities:

The data model of the design is based on multidimensional design that intended for end­user queries and Bl process. The tasks include:

  • Definition of Information from each data sources integrating to the enterprise DW
    • Define the Dimension information
    • Define Fact information
    • Create Database objects
    • Map Business Rules
    • Build the Data Dictionary
  • Work with the business, end users, and technical information and facilities (server access and Database Administrative access, etc.) necessary to design and implement the solutions.
  • Develop technical design documents
  • Work with appropriate organizational personnel (stakeholders) representing the DW to meet with and engage in data modeling sessions and design the solution according specifications
  • Participate in and conducts peer reviews as needed
  • Provide technical and production support to end-users
  • Apply application changes based on information such as client feedback, requirement changes and new technology.

Qualifications

  • * Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
  • * 100% onsite in Brooklyn, NY 
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or another engineering major and/or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years of experience with IT industry using Data warehouse build products (SQL Developer/Modeler, TOAD, Oracle RDBMS, etc.).
  • 4 years of experience in SQL, ODI, OBIEE, and Oracle database
  • Full lifecycle data integration experience including database connection to source, data mart development, ETL design, and advanced customization and configuration of ODI repository objects including Mappings, Interfaces, Packages, Scenarios and Knowledge Modules
  • Experience developing Packages, Procedures and Functions with PL/SQL to support ETL processes
  • Experience in performance analysis and tuning of ETL and other data transfer components
  • Experience with data models
  • Develop OBIEE reports and configure/develop the associated metadata
  • Develop materialized views, operational datastores to pull in data from source databases and combine into a single database
  • Implement different instances of databases into different environments: dev, test, and prod
  • Perform Database installation and configuration tasks
  • Assist in the development of strategies for data archive/recovery, database implementation and data acquisition/transfer
  • Clean and maintain data warehouses by restructuring and deleting old data
  • Perform Database Administration
