    The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for reviewing, administering and implementing configuration management processes and procedures, assessing configuration management needs, developing and implementing plans to guide the IT organization to a mature configuration process. The successful candidate will ensure solutions and infrastructure configurations are introduced in a controlled, yet efficient, manner. The Configuration Management Specialist will conduct research on IT configuration management process improvement and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining internal configuration management policies, procedures and associated training plans. This posoition will also train configuration requestors and approvers on existing configuration policies and procedures, and assit with the definition and documentation of new or adapted configuration processes and procedures, while executing periodic testing of configuration processes to ensure compliance.



    Responsibilities Include:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for OIT customers
    • Communicate Service Level Agreements with OIT customers
    • Assist OIT teams with meeting facilitation, QA, POC tracking and any other activities needed to ensure satisfaction with the quality and delivery of infrastructure needs
    • Communicate Service Catalog features to OIT customers
    • Receive, analyze, and verify requested services meeting customer requirements as part of Service Delivery Management.
    • Administer and report results of Customer Surveys
    • Facilitate the coordination of remediation activities for vulnerabilities identified in third-party security scans, to include managing the collaboration site in SharePoint




    • Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a clearance
    • 0 - 2 years of experience and a B.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience
    • ICAgile Certified Professional
    • 3+ years of experience with Process Improvement Methodology including defining and documenting workflow
    • 3+ years of experience with Configuration Management tool and workflow creation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of version control and configuration tools
    • Knowledge of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies and disciplines
    • Proven ability to work closely with the business community as well as technical resources in a tactful manner
    • Knowledgeable about relevant Change Management Tools such as Footprints, Remedy or ServiceNow
