  • Job Overview & Responsibilities

    The Manager, Technical Delivery manages and leads the team of technical consultants responsible for executing on the Managed Services engagement portfolio.  This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services, driving innovation, automation and continuous improvement within the Managed Services business. The Manager, Technical Delivery supervises a team of technical professionals and is responsible for the hiring, training, development and performance of the team.

    Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

    • Establish and implement a plan with the Managed Services leadership team to build a cutting-edge, innovative and automated Managed Services approach emphasizing value and efficiency for our clients.
    • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive innovation, such as cloud management, within the Managed Services business.
    • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive automation (processes, tools, etc..) within the Managed Services business.
    • Lead the effort around Continuous Improvement for the technical delivery capability of the Managed Services business.
    • Assess/forecast Managed Services delivery needs (short and long-term) based on pipeline reviews, sales projections, delivery capability and company goals/targets.
    • Build a high-performing technical delivery team through goal-setting, establishing a culture of accountability and driving results.
    • Assess training needs for the team and develop and execute appropriate training plans and track progress.
    • Manage the process of hiring new team members to including writing job descriptions and requisitions, screen and interview candidates and make hiring decisions based on capability and culture fit.
    • Work with Sales teams to provide input into project scoping/RFP responses.
    • Work with Operations and Service Delivery to ensure proper project execution activities (based on client needs, ISO / ITIL process, Oracle best practices, etc.)
    • Work with Managed Services management to balance portfolio/project assignments (based on bandwidth, location, skills, etc.) within each area.
    • Collaborate with other Managed Services and Consulting Team leads to determine best-fit resources for projects.
    • Engage directly with client executive management to pro-actively elicit feedback, problem solve and maximize customer delight.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in technology and consulting roles.
    • 5+ years of experience supporting Managed Services engagements, delivery management or innovation / automation efforts for an organization.
    • Experience in a leadership role and associated management activities (recruiting, HR engagement, process improvement, etc.).

    Additional Experience:

    • Oracle Certifications are a plus.

    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, SharePoint and technical writing.
