Job Overview & Responsibilities

Mythics is looking for a Data Warehouse Architect who will work onsite at the client site in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have a range of experience in architecting solutions including a strong Oracle background in Data Architecture, and Oracle BI stack (PL/SQL, OBIEE, ODI, BI Publisher). The candidate should also have experience in Big Data specifically Cloudera and the Oracle Big Data Appliance stack, as well as a technical and functional understanding of Master Data Management implementation.  The candidate must have a background in team leadership and can create and manage schedules.


The Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for the design, delivery, and implementation of the data models and physical data warehouse structures that are the basis for the data warehouse. This includes working with the business users, other team Architects and Developers to design the actual dimensional data model structure (data warehouse).  The DW Architect is responsible for implementing and modifying the physical database schema. You will work in conjunction with the OBIEE Architect to create the RPD in OBIEE. Additionally, they will work with the Sr. PL/SQL and ETL developer to provide guidance on loading the data into the physical data structures of the data warehouse. Finally, for any data related security, they will implement and test any security configuration and requirements to include user/group setup, permissions setup and validation.


  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 4+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience
  • 2+ years of OBIEE experience including building the RPD layers
  • 1+ years of ODI
  • 4+ years of Data Architecture
  • 2+ Oracle DBA experience in Data Warehouse environment  
  • 1+ years of Oracle MDM
  • 1+ years of Big Data Experience (Oracle stack)
  • Experience with OBIEE migration through the life cycle
  • Implement and Design the OBIEE RPD physical, business and presentation layers
  • Work with users to design and develop OBIEE reports and dashboards
  • Experience configuring and developing in a MUD environment
  • Good understanding of dimensional data models
  • Strong Oracle DBA skills in a Data Warehouse environment
  • Excellent Data Warehouse tuning skills, including configuration, implementations and understanding of specific Oracle database techniques
  • Understanding of the underlying technology including setup, tuning and administration
  • Knowledge and experience implementing Big Data as part of a larger Data Warehouse solution
  • Ability to test the entire solution 
  • Experience collecting, analyzing and documenting user requirements
  • Golden Gate experience is a plus
  • Project Leadership skills including understanding, designing, and implementing the technical solution as well as leading the entire technical team to ensure that they are following the approach and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team, mentoring and training the client and other Mythics staff on the various tools and techniques to build a complete Analytics solution
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with the client and other developers, including training and mentoring of team members
