    Position Summary:

    This role serves as a strategic business partner to the EVP in the financial oversight of a growing $100M+ consulting business segment.  The Finance/Business Operations Director will work with key stakeholders in the business to develop price-to-win and go-to-market strategies, evolve business decision processes, and provide guidance and support in the areas of process and system improvements, tracking and forecasting financial and operational metrics and development of the annual operating plan. 


    Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

    • Business partner to the consulting business EVP, providing guidance and analysis for investment decisions, planning, and execution strategies with a focus on meeting financial performance objectives.
    • Participate in the financial development of annual budget and quarterly P&L forecast.
    • Review and prepare advanced financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cost-volume-profit analysis and resource utilization.
    • Provide recommendations to senior leadership on various processes to include overhead reporting, resource utilization, investment prioritization, risk mitigation and efficiency opportunities.
    • Participate in business acquisition process to ensure competitive, compliant and timely bids. Review pricing packages, evaluating risk and implementing internal profit guidelines.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to track business performance, identify trends and proactively engage with functional leaders to stay ahead of the curve.
    • Ensure corporate and segment level actions are being achieved to attain agreed to goals by continual analysis or performance.
    • Support existing governance model to ensure the integrity, timing, accuracy, accessibility, consistency and completeness of data to improve information and risk management.
    • Strive for continual improvement to operational best practices.
    • Work in close cooperation with all other areas of the organization.


    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field (advanced degree a plus) and/or work equivalency
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
    • Minimum 8 years of Government contracting experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT consulting environment



    • Expert level in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
    • Proficiency with BI tools; NetSuite OpenAir and CRM preferred
    • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong time-management and organizational ability
    • Sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses
    • Advanced skills, with ability to guide and influence senior leaders and other key stakeholders
    • Strong ability to perform in a high pace environment and multitask
