Job Overview & Responsibilities

Mythics, Inc. is seeking an ambitious and experienced Accounting Representative who will be responsible for accounts receivable, invoicing, and accounts payable. Duties are as follows:



Accounts Receivable and Invoicing

  • Track and resolve outstanding customer payment issues.
  • Understanding of government collections and payment systems.
  • Timely and accurate presentation of invoices to customers.
  • AR collection calls with results.
  • Reconciliation of assigned accounts.
  • Processing of credit card transactions.
  • Conduct research as needed

Accounts Payable

  • Accurately posting vendor bills.
  • Reviewing and posting of employee expense reports.
  • Posting and issuing checks/ACH's.
  • Ensure correct posting to the general ledger.
  • Reconciliation of assigned accounts.
  • Research as needed.


Cash Management 

  • Posting payments accurately to customer accounts.
  • Reconciling daily deposits.
  • Posting journal entries.
  • Research as needed.


Other Duties

  • As assigned





  • Associates in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Accounts receivable, invoicing, and accounts payable experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with government contracting, billing, and collecting process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for accounts receivable transactions, general ledger and account reconciliations.
  • Professional attitude while interfacing with customers regarding collection issues and disputes.
  • Knowledge of Netsuite accounting software a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced office is a must.
  • Ability to read and understand complex documents from vendors and government agencies.
