Job Overview & Responsibilities

 The consultant will have the primary responsibility to manage and support a customer's EBS environment.  They will be responsible for application and server patching, as well as issue and problem management.  The expectation is that the consultant will be able to help keep the ticket counts at a low number.  There is an infrastructure modernization initiative taking place which will require the consultant to lead the transition effort from the implementation team to the support team.  Regular activities include:

  • Setup new EBS instances to replicate existing environments.
  • Upgrade Oracle server software & related products,
  • Database & application tuning/performance monitoring
  • RMAN backup & recovery
  • Assist Project Team and Clients implementation staff with database activities

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder
  • Must be local to Chicago, IL or willing to relocate
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ Oracle DBA specifically around PROD support and implementation experience 
  • Experience with PCA (Private Cloud Appliance)
  • Experience with Oracle Application patches including PSU and CPU patches
  • Experience with DataGuard
  • Experience with iStore on DMZ server
  • Experience with SSL and TLS1.2
  • Patching and cloning EBS instances
  • Experience with all AD Utilities
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery best practices
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Exposure to OBIEE and Oracle Fusion middleware
  • Exposure to Oracle Exalytics server
  • Oracle VM Server
  • Oracle Enterprise Linux
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Oracle certifications are a plus
